Calcineurin Introduction

Calcineurin (CN) is a protein phosphatase aswell accepted as protein phosphatase 3, PPP3CA, (formerly accepted as protein phosphatase 2B (PP2B)). It is activated by Ca2+-bound calmodulin, and dephosphorylates NFATc (Nuclear Agency of Activated T cell, cytoplasmic), activating the archetype factor, and altering gene announcement inthe affection (and abounding added systems). Ser-197 phosphorylation of calcineurin by CaMKII inactivates calcineurin, which in about-face inactivates NFAT and alters gene announcement patterns.
